Don't miss this performance of Will Todd's Mass in Blue - a brilliant fusion of classical music and jazz! Originally published as the 'Jazz Mass', the Mass in Blue is an upbeat setting of the Latin mass that blends driving jazz grooves with strong choral writing. The East of England Singers will be joined by NYJO, the acclaimed Nottingham Youth Jazz Orchestra directed by Phil Smith, and former Swingle Singer, Sarah Simmonds in the vocal solo role. The first half of the programme will juxtapose items by the jazz orchestra with unaccompanied Renaissance motets.
