All your favourite Fairy-Tale characters are re-imagined in this belated pantomime with songs by the city's oldest youth drama group: The Nottingham Youth Theatre. When an Evil Enchantress hears of a Prophecy proclaiming the end of Dark Magic, she will stop at nothing to prevent it diminishing her powers. Her dastardly plan to swap the newborn Prince with her own Demonic son leaves the fate of the kingdom hanging by a delicate thread. Eighteen years later, the downtrodden Cinderella spends her days enslaved by her stepmother and ugly sisters, whilst readying herself for her arranged marriage to the Prince. Meanwhile, her hapless sidekick Buttons settles for loving her from afar. But all is not well, the Enchantress returns to spring her plan into action, will all be uncovered? Will dark magic conquer? Will Buttons fly and finally get the girl?! With fashion-fix fairies, Grime-busting mice, and a special appearance from a purely fictional boy-band there's something for everyone! Can all be put right in this twist on the classic Cinderella Story? Written by Jake McCollough and Conor Hadfield, two members of the company, the show is positively bursting with fun, frivolity, and magic!
